Statistics Project: Education and Economic Growth
A statistics investigation into the relationship between a country's wealth and its rate of higher education.
For a statistics research project I looked at whether a country’s wealth is connected to how many of its people go on to higher education. I took a random sample of 100 countries and studied the relationship between GDP per capita and the gross enrollment rate in tertiary education.
The paper works through the data, measures how strongly the two move together, and discusses what the pattern suggests about education and economic growth. It was an early project that pushed me to work with real world data and statistics.
